Opt pelicule participă în bătălia acerbă pentru „cel mai bun film” la cea de-a 91-a ediţie a galei premiilor Oscar, care va avea loc pe 24 februarie, la Los Angeles, scrie News.ro. Printre ele se numără filmul de debut al lui Lady Gaga – „A star is born”, dar și pelicula despre Freddy Mercury – „Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Cel mai recent film al mexicanului Alfonso Cuarón, recompensat anul trecut cu Leul de Aur la Veneţia şi anul acesta cu două Globuri de Aur, a primit 10 nominalizări la Oscar, inclusiv pentru „cel mai bun film”, „cel mai bun regizor”, „cel mai bun scenariu”, pentru actriţe în rol principal şi secundar.

„Roma” este şi prima producţie Netflix care primeşte o nominalizare la categoria „cel mai bun film” a premiilor Oscar.
